Our client, a leading provider in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Contract Patient Services Representative - Oral Surgery to join their team. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be part of the patient care team supporting the dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Contract Patient Services Representative - Oral Surgery
**Location:** New York, NY
**Pay Range:** $28 - $30 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Provide the first level of customer service to patients of the dental clinic, from greeting and routing patients to record maintenance and cashier duties.
+ Monitor daily clinic operations, within guidelines, and ensure smooth workflow.
+ Assign and review work of student and/or casual employees engaged in routine tasks.
+ Schedule follow-up examinations and ensure proper processing of health-related transactions.
+ Handle inquiries requiring additional investigation and/or specialized knowledge.
**What's Needed?**
+ Experience in a patient services or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
+ Experience with appointment scheduling and record maintenance.
+ Ability to handle emergencies and triage patient needs.
