Contract Sales Estimator

The primary responsibility of this position is to sell new system designs, installations, and commissioning; sell system modifications and upgrades. This individual will cultivate new business relationships, maintain existing accounts, and ensure the fulfillment of established sales goals through estimating and bidding on fire protection projects. Embrace a consultative selling technique that includes the ability to analyze client needs, communicate appropriate solutions, and facilitate sales to closure. The target market will be those companies in the commercial, industrial, hospitality and healthcare industries. 

Job Responsibilities

Establish contact with prospective and qualified potential buyers of new systems, system modifications and upgrades by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads and outlined marketing strategies Review construction contract documents, and coordinate with general contractor / owner to gather the required information to develop pricing Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and communicate effectively to educate the customer about WSFP capabilities Layout systems and hydraulically calculate systems to establish pipe sizing. Determine construction feasibility, system possibilities, prepare cost estimates, and present effective proposals that offer solutions to customer life safety needs Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support the established sales plan Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships to ensure WSFP meets or exceeds their expectations of a long-term partner Support other WSFP Teams in their initiatives as they relate to your territory Meet the key objectives of the annual commission plan

Job Qualifications

Three to five years of experience in the fire protection industry is preferred but not required Previous construction industry experience is preferred CAD software experience in fire protection system layout and hydraulic calculations preferred. Perform work in a timely manner and meet deadlines Detail orientated with an ability to organize and effectively manage multiple complex tasks and solve problems Positive and professional attitude and customer service skills Highly motivated and proactive Excellent communication skills-written and verbal Ability to create local and distance relationships with General Contractors Strong prospecting skills Valid driver’s license is required Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check
