**What are your contributions to the team?**
Contract Specialist (Multiple Positions) - Learjet Inc. (Wichita, KS)
Review, draft and negotiate Aircraft Purchase Agreements and related documents for the sale of new private jets, including complex technical, commercial and legal terms and conditions.
Draft complex and specialized terms and conditions that balance our organization’s risk and the needs of our unique customers.
Ensure that the business objectives are reflected in the contract language. Collaborate and liaise with internal stakeholders in the United States, Canada and internationally (including with Legal Services, Tax, Operations, Insurance/Risk Management, and the Customer Support organization) to achieve the best contractual outcome for Bombardier in connection with its sales of new business aircraft.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align multiple interests with the terms of the agreements. Collaborate with other Contract Specialists within the department to ensure effectiveness of the Contract Management function.
Determine when there is a need to escalate issues to appropriate teams (Sales, Legal Services, senior leadership team), and identify and proactively raise issues prior to them becoming critical or creating risks. Participate and contribute in meetings with the senior leadership team and with high net worth individuals. Maintain thorough documentation and reporting of work, including accurate records of negotiations. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency with regards to the negotiation and drafting of contracts.
Assist in improving existing internal contract policies to ensure compliance and reduce any potential risks. Contribute to our efforts to address continuing improvement to standard agreements.
**How to thrive in this role?**
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Law, Business, Finance, or related field.
Must have 4 years of experience in transactional/contract work in the aerospace/aviation industry which includes drafting complex technical, commercial and legal terms and conditions.
Must have 4 years of experience in negotiation dealings including purchase agreements.
Must have 2 years of experience in customer/client facing environment.
Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiating skills in English and French. Knowledge of a third language such as Spanish or another European language is encouraged.
May telecommute 100% from any location in US. Travel required to clients sites in the United States up to 50%. International travel 20%.
