**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**
Job Description: Serve as contract specialist. Contract Specialist will be required to support the full range of cradle to grave contracting activities. Support shall cover a wide range of customers on acquisitions to include procurement of complex and diversified items, services, and research and development.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to organizations requiring contracting services as directed by the government. Perform market research/analysis to determine availability of the requirement, analyzes market trends, commercial practices, conditions and technological advances, and selects appropriate techniques and procedures to solve any acquisition problem. Analyze difficult contracting issues and determines recommended courses of action, which may depart from previous approaches. Provide business advice and assistance to technical personnel involved in the development of the statement of work or data requirements. Support both classified and unclassified efforts. This position is subject to special programs and read-on. Assist with the request for proposal (RFP) preparations. Assist the supporting proposal evaluation, assisting the USG Contracting Officers in negotiations. Assist with the administration and completion of contract/task order/purchase order modifications to include closeouts.
