Position:  Transportation and CFC contractor

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Attendant for a 34-year-old woman client is verbal and needs a staff to transport her to various places such as: doctor appointment, work (hours will vary), and to local grocery stores. Staff will need to be patient when transporting individual and use good judgment of client needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Proficiently communicates in the functional language of the individual to whom the Intervener is assigned Feels comfortable working in close physical proximity to individual while frequently using touch to communicate with and instruct individuals who are primarily tactile learners Demonstrates emotional maturity, stability, and ability to perform under stress, and possesses frustration tolerance Shows ability to exercise good judgment, cooperation, tact, and discretion in dealing with the individual, family, and the  others Shows interest in developing additional knowledge and skills

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age Must NOT be the spouse of the individual to whom the Intervener 1 is assigned: or if the individual is under 18 years of age, a parent of the individual to whom the Intervener is assigned. Must have a High School Diploma or GED Minimum of two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Minimum of six months experience working with persons who have deaf blindness Valid Texas Drivers’ License.
