Contractor Security Officer

As the Contractor Security Officer, you will be responsible for overall execution and management of contractual program security requirements.  The Contractor Security Officer will oversee, monitor, and report on all security aspects of the program’s security policies and procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Direct and oversee all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and related Federal government regulatory requirements for the administration and protection of classified information both in the United States and internationally for all special contracts. Develop, coordinate, implement and direct policies and processes related to the Security functional area. Oversee the development and implementation of security plans to ensure electronic processing of classified information is performed in accordance with NISPOM requirements. Direct and oversee the Security Clearance Process to oversee the processing of new hires and electronically track and report all security clearances and report status. Direct and oversee the overall operation of the Access Control Center, Visitor processing both classified and unclassified, Information Security, Access Control Planning, badging for all NISPOM contract employees, establish accountability of classified documents etc. to ensure access is granted and protection is provided for such, in accordance with the NISPOM and Corporate policy. Interface with external customers to satisfy their requirements for the protection of classified or unclassified sensitive/technical information entrusted to the Corporation. Function as official Facility Security Officer for contracts handled through the PSO. Identify and respond to security requirements of RFP's as well as participate in key management briefings on industrial security business practices and regulatory compliance as required. Facilitate information and best practices sharing between locations and within IAP World Services, Inc., and IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. Provide direction to project location security personnel and maintain overall responsibility for the PSO's client Facility Clearance and provide liaison support for other location clearances.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years security management experience Minimum of five (5) years recent security management experience managing a contract of similar size, scope and complexity.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Power Point and Lotus Notes). Experience working on a global life support service effort in third world countries. Experience working with or managing LN and TCN service employees working in volatile third world environments. Experience working with the DoD, DoS, and IC experience working with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Experience working with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD). Understanding and participation in SCIF Construction Understanding of approval process for IT System introduction into classified spaceUnderstanding of DOD and IC community clearance and access process
