Your Challenge:
As a Principal Contracts Administrator, you will support the SAS business relating to administering assigned contracts and required changes, ensuring compliance with government and/or commercial contract requirements.
Analyzes estimates of material, equipment and production costs.
Reviews contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.
Initiates documentation to authorize work in accordance with contractual specifications.
Completes contract negotiations of moderate complexity.
Independent participation in audits for internal and/or external compliance requirements.
Ensure routine and major contracts conform with standard terms and review non-standard contracts to ensure conformance with corporate contract principles. Recommend alternative language to address customer requirements within corporate and division guidelines with supervision. Interpret regulations in relation to contracts.
Lead proposal development activities, data compilation, analysis and application to develop pricing proposals in response to customer requests. Draft and issue large proposals with limited supervision. Develop and execute negotiation strategy with management.
Lead discussion on functional topics within internal team. Ensure solid relationship with customer as primary contact and demonstrate problem-solving skills with issues.
Understand the interrelationships of ERP contract inputs with other modules.
Supports on boarding of less experienced contracts professionals through on the information sharing and informal on the job training. Review and recommend improvements to existing procedures.
Your Expertise:
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to meet business needs.
Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Law, or other related field.
7-12 years of applicable contract experience. Government or Commercial Nuclear contracts experience preferred.
Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR terms and conditions
Experience in contract negotiations
Strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of MS office
Strong organizational and presentation skills
Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
