Contracts Administrator
Description Our client is looking for a Contracts Administrator to join their team based in Annapolis, Maryland. The existing team is small, collaborative and collegial. They are looking for an active team member who will participate in decision making and have the opportunity to impact change as the company continues to grow. This role will be primarily remote with an expectation to be in Annapolis 2 days per week once trained. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract management, including drafting, revising, and executing contracts, maintaining meticulous records, and serving as a key point of contact for customers. This role operates within the Legal Department and the ideal candidate would have some experience in Real Estate. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and execute all phases of a contract lifecycle, from initial communication to final documentation for record retention. • Draft, revise, and finalize contracts of moderate complexity, ensuring all documentation adheres to company policy and customer standards. • Serve as a key liaison between internal and external parties, ensuring smooth negotiations and amendments during the development of contracts. • Maintain highly organized and detailed files for each contract, including all correspondence, amendments, clarifications, and other related information. • Conduct regular research and provide timely responses to internal data requests, including reports and regularly scheduled updates. • Monitor contract deadlines and due diligence related to assigned contracts, taking appropriate action when necessary. • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external business partners, facilitating seamless communication and customer interaction. • Analyze contract changes to identify potential risks and inform internal partners accordingly. • Assist with special projects within the Business Development and Asset Management departments as required. • Collaborate closely with appointed legal counsel for review and approval of all contract work prior to external distribution. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Contracts Administrator, Lease Administrator, Paralegal role or similar • Demonstrated proficiency in Contract Administration • Solid experience in Commercial Real Estate • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field preferred • Exceptional communication skills • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information • Strong understanding of legal requirements involved in specific contracts • Ability to analyze contracts with a keen eye for details.
