Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join their growing team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Administrator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely execution. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the seamless operation of construction projects, from contract preparation to final closeout.

 

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

 

Contract Administration:  Prepare, review, and administer contracts, including subcontracts, change orders, and vendor agreements.  Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and relevant legal regulations.  Monitor contract status, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.Collaboration & Communication:  Act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams regarding contractual matters.  Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and legal advisors to address contract requirements.  Communicate any potential risks or issues to leadership promptly.Documentation & Reporting:  Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, insurance certificates, and compliance documents.  Track project costs, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with project teams.  Prepare and distribute regular reports summarizing contract progress and potential issues.Compliance & Risk Management:  Verify that all subcontractors and vendors meet contractual requirements, including insurance and licensing.  Identify areas of potential risk within contracts and propose mitigation strategies.  Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong ability to complete due diligence and risk assessmentImpeccable integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders.Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills to address and mitigate contractual risk.

Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:

Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial terms, and project management principles.Basic knowledge of construction law, liability insurance, payment and performance bonds, liens, and warranties.Ability to analyze and interpret complex contracts and identify discrepancies. Proficiency in contract management software e.g., Bluebeam, DocuSign, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite.Basic Understanding of the electrical construction process, terminology, milestones, and deadlines.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, or a related field (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years of experience in contract administration or coordination, ideally in the construction industry.

 

What You'll Get

Working Conditions:

The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment.  Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space.  You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

IME provides an industry-leading comprehensive benefits package.  Full-time employees are eligible to choose from a variety of healthcare coverage options, which become effective the first of the month after hire.  In addition, employees are offered a substantial amount of PTO and are immediately eligible to make contributions to a generously matched and fully vested 401k. 

 

Salary Range: 

$76,000 - $94,000

 *Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.*

Compensation Range The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $76,000.00/Yr. - USD $94,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications. Equal Opportunity Employer
