D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for anContracts and Closing Manager. The Contracts Closing Manger plays a critical role by directing and overseeing contracts throughout their lifecycle. Serves as the liaison between the company and the customer, maintains accurate records and monitors for changes to ensure contract management is a smooth, streamlined process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and implement procedures and policies Interface with buyers, lenders, escrow agents, sales and all in-house departments to ensure timely closing Reviews and approves sales contract package, monitors progress of loans and audits escrow closings Establish and maintain relationships by serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally Prepare and enter required contract journal entries for JDE entry Work with and assist mortgage and title for contract closings as necessary Plan and direct the activities of the Closing Coordinators Organize, plan and head weekly team meeting between the construction department/sales department and mortgage Review and approve HUDs prior to closing Schedule closing dates with buyers and notify all parties involved by phone and/or in writing Track and report status of all loans closing within the current month Prepare documents for closings; ensure deeds and lien waivers are notarized Oversee the ordering, receiving and sending of documents for closings, i.e., soil letters, surveys, keys, etc. Manage the preparation and distribution of plans and specs for FHA closings Direct the review of all contracts for clarity of language pertaining to seller-paid closing costs Facilitates the maintenance of the list of all contracts and their projected month of closing Review and verify the tracking and reporting of all earnest money received and due Supervises reconciliation of Earnest Money Exception Report Track and report potential terminations, enter terminations upon request and prepare check requests if earnest money is to be refunded Monitor processes to simplify and streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks Provide secure record management to serve as an audit trail and evidence that is easily accessible. Maintain complete records on the entire contract administration processes Manage archive process Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companySupervisory Responsibilities
Directly managestwo or more employees in the Main OfficeDepartment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school Three to six years related experience and/or training in real estate sales management or escrow management Strong knowledge of real estate contracts and escrow closing process required Work effectively in high pressure situations Excel in intercommunications and interactions Demonstrated problem-solving skills Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications Proficiency with MS Office and emailPreferred Qualifications
