Position Overview

Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG), a Davey company, is seeking an energetic, organized, and motivated Contracts and Procurement Specialist to join our team. The position will work most closely with the team in our Kent, Ohio office but may be eligible to be partially remote. Primary duties will include redlining and negotiating contracts and subcontracts, as well as managing insurance requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with internal project managers in DRG and subsidiaries of DRG to facilitate the contracting process.

Job Duties Draft, review, redline and negotiate a variety of contracts, including solicitations, master agreements, prime and subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements, using a variety of contract types, including firm-fixed price, time and material, unit-based and cost-plus. Work with a variety of clients, including federal, state and local and commercial. Identify and resolve contractual risks, ensuring compliance with client guidelines, laws and regulations; resolve discrepancies through redlining and negotiating. Create, communicate and uphold contract and procurement policies to company team members and clients. Review, negotiate, order and manage all certificates of insurance (COIs) and serve as main point of contact regarding all insurance matters. Troubleshoot contract or insurance related problems that arise internally or with the client. Track and manage renewal of master agreements. Provide contract management services to multiple subsidiaries within the DRG family. Qualifications

Required:

7+ years of experience in contract review, including indemnification and insurance requirements. Strong ability to independently review, write and negotiate a variety of contractual terms and conditions, including indemnification, liability, warranty, insurance, etc. Able to independently troubleshoot issues and disputes relating to contracts, policies, insurance, etc. Basic understanding of general liability, workers compensation, automobile liability and professional liability, as well as high deductible and self-insurance programs.

Preferred:

Experience working with environmental consulting, construction and/or engineering firms. Basic pricing experience, including applying rate increases. GSA contract experience. Experience working in SAP/S4, Sharepoint and Google. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Additional Information
