Job Overview

As the Contracts Executive Director, Defense and National Security, you will play a pivotal role in enabling Voyager Space's mission to advance innovation and defend national interests across all domains. Reporting to Voyagers Chief Legal Officer, you will lead Defense and National Security’s contract administration, compliance, and negotiation for U.S. Government and commercial contracts. This position requires exceptional expertise in navigating the complexities of federal acquisition processes and aligning contracts with strategic objectives.
     
 You will work across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure Voyager Space delivers on its contractual obligations while fostering strong partnerships with Government and industry stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesContract Management and Compliance:Provides expert guidance and counsel to the business area VP/GM and adjoining leadership team, while setting functional direction through strategic, legal, and financial analysis.Administer and ensure compliance with Government and commercial contracts, including prime contracts and subcontracts.Guide program managers and teams to meet contractual performance milestones and requirements.Negotiation and Agreements:Lead negotiations for U.S. Government contracts, non-disclosure agreements, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.Provide legal and strategic advice on agreement structures and terms.Proposal Development and Review:Draft and review responses to Government and commercial proposal solicitations in collaboration with mission managers, engineers, and business development teams.Analyze RFPs to identify risks, compliance requirements, and competitive positioning.Stakeholder Engagement:Develop and maintain strong relationships with Government counterparts, industry partners, and subcontractors.Represent Voyager Space in high-level contract discussions and industry forums.Operational Excellence:Provides leadership direction in the strategic development, management, and deployment of human capital resources in support of the businessManage a team of six contracts administrators across multiple site.Establish and maintain organized contract management systems and business files.Oversee invoice processing, payments, and reporting for all assigned contracts.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field.15+ years of experience in Government contract administration or management.Preferred Skills and ExperienceIn-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific supplements (e.g., DoD, NASA FAR Supplement).Proven experience with Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intelligence organizations contract administration.Strong analytical skills to assess RFPs and draft competitive proposals.Advanced academic credentials (e.g., JD, MBA) or certifications (e.g., NCMA, CPCM).Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance is strongly preferred.Additional RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
