This position can be located at any CGI office on the East Coast, preferred location is Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO.
**Your future duties and responsibilities:**
• Provide contracting advice to business development and delivery teams supporting both commercial and state/local government clients (occasional travel required).
• Review, draft, negotiate, interpret, and advise on assorted services and IP related contracting arrangements and provisions and support related subcontracts, teaming agreements, software licenses etc.
• Conduct contract risk assessments of contract and RFP terms , provide strategic advice, and handle agreement exceptions/redlines during the proposal process.
• Assist internal clients in developing negotiation and risk mitigation strategies for proposal preparation, contract execution, and performance.
• Lead contract negotiations independently and support senior contracts professionals and legal counsel in complex transactions.
• Collaborate regularly with business unit leadership, sales and delivery managers, internal legal counsel, and other core services groups (security, privacy, tax, insurance, etc.).
**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
• Bachelors degree and 5-8+ years of contracts experience with increasing responsibility.
• Solid knowledge of contracting practices in the IT industry, focusing on legal terms and conditions (e.g., licensing provisions, intellectual property rights, acceptance, warranties, liabilities, indemnification, etc.) for various types of high-end IT service engagements (e.g., agile ,software development projects managed services, outsourcing, , hosting/cloud service offerings, and software license/maintenance relationships).
• Ability to work through both business and legal issues, manage dynamic priorities and shift support between various clients and contracts.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive focus on risk management.
• Negotiation experience with a pragmatic, flexible style.
• Strategic and tactical proposal support experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills (oral and written) with sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Quick learner with the ability to gain credibility and influence internal business clients at all levels.
• Discernment in knowing when to ask questions and escalate legal matters.
• Team player with a collaborative approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 - $133,500.”
