Job Summary

The Contract Manager is a forward-thinking team player who is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of service contracts. In collaboration with the service team, the contract manager is responsible for the successful execution of various service contracts including but not limited to customer relationship management, project delivery, contract obligations, internal and external KPI’s, and profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities

Customer relationship: As support to primary Customer contacts in sales & service, establish and maintain an adequate Customer relationship and Customer satisfaction, while focusing on Contractual commitments and compliance. Administers the current contracts and support Sales & Service representatives in retaining existing business and securing renewal and new business

Owns the proper execution of the contract in line with the contractual agreements, while respecting time and financial constraints. 

Identify risks and opportunities; define and implement action plans to continuously mitigate risks, improve performance (EHS, profitability, operations…) and seize opportunities.

Supports the service team in manpower requirements, performance tracking tools and new opportunities startups

Regular Reportings. Owns regular internal and customer reportings through dashboards and meetings. Involves service team, sales rep and any support needed to provide a clear vision of contracts status and action plans progress.

Lead the resolution of client complaints and issues throughout a project. Investigate and report issues in the CTS Tracking tool. Facilitate client issue resolution through communication with fellow team members, engineering, process & control groups

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IE or Environmental Engineering) with a minimum of 3 years of water treatment experience.  Master of Business Administration a plus

Min of 5 years experience with Contract management, prefer 10 years or more.

Min of 5 years of supervisory / leadership experience

Min of 2 years working in or adjacent to field-based service operation

Preferred (if applicable):

Strong customer relationship skills to build customer loyalty.

Excellent customer focus, clear thinker, and detail-oriented

Knowledge and proven ability in the contract management of short- and long-term service agreements in an industrial environment.

Experience in industrial service contracts fulfillment, ideally in the petrochemical or similar sector

Ability to read, understand, and plan according to contract deliverables.

Contract risk analysis and risk mitigation experience.

Strong administrative, time-management, and organizational skill

Comfortable and competent with financial and costing disciplines

High order aptitude for written communications

Analytics’ natural attention to detail.

Negotiation with vendors (suppliers and subcontractors) and with Customers.

Sound knowledge of relevant conditions of contract, including subcontracting and purchasing

Experience in the management of Operation teams

Experience in Water and Wastewater treatment

Experience and knowledge of water treatment technologies; UF, RO, EDR, EDI, pumps, motors, FDA, filtration, and chemical feed systems

Legal background and contract experience is preferred
