Contracts Manager
Description We are in search of a Contracts Manager to join our team in Palo Alto, California. This role will focus on contract drafting, negotiation, and management. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment, supporting and assisting in-house counsel and General Counsel with the legal contract management process. Responsibilities: • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, master service agreements, consulting agreements, and other agreements • Facilitate the drafting and approval process, including receiving and reviewing new contract requests and assisting in negotiation • Manage the circulation of contracts for signatures using electronic systems like DocuSign and AdobeSign • Maintain and track electronic contracts in the contract database, reviewing contracts for expiration and renewals • Assist the legal team in implementing and adopting company Best Practices • Analyze current business state and provide recommendations to improve contracts administration workflow process • Collaborate and assist with resolving inquiries from internal stakeholders relating to the status of contract negotiation • Support the Legal Department with corporate governance matters, including conducting research to support state licensing efforts and filing for corporate governance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Assist in archiving and maintaining other legal records as needed. Requirements • The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Contracts Manager. • Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, Corporate Governance, and Contract Administration is mandatory. • The candidate should hold a Bachelors' degree. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. • The ability to interpret and draft contractual terms and conditions is essential. • The candidate should be able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. • The candidate should be able to work effectively in a team and also independently. • The applicant should be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Familiarity with contract management software is required. • The candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines are required.
