Position Overview:
As a member of the Legal team, the Contracts Manager will play a crucial role in developing, drafting, negotiating and executing contracts for our Company. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and strategic partner who will be responsible for overseeing our contract management process. This position will report directly to the Assistant General Counsel, Commercial Contracts and Product.
Key Responsibilities:
Craft, evaluate, negotiate and prepare for execution of a wide variety of contracts covering a range of transactions with an emphasis on customer and vendor contracts Work with internal stakeholders, customers and vendors on contract negotiation and related issues Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters Assist with implementation of a CRM Monitor the performance of each signed contract, ensuring all obligations and conditions are met. Monitor contracts and coordinate with stakeholders to move forward with close-out, extension and renewal Monitor legal risks and obligations, expirations, renewals, deadlines, opt-out windows and termination requirements, ensuring timely actions are taken Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal and technical documents Ability to work to, develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Ability to manage multiple projects at once to deadline Provide guidance on contract-related issues and best practices to internal teams Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate potential legal risksQualifications:
You should be an intellectually curious self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills This is a high growth area and the ideal candidate is a confident self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and high-energy environment, and who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with agility and efficiency Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Strong knowledge of contracting concepts, contract acquisition, and contract law. 7+ years contracts management experience, paralegal, or other comparable experience with responsibility for reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts Demonstrated ability to create new procedures and workflows Proficiency or experience with a contact management system, Contract Works and Salesforce preferred Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal and regulatory issues to non-experts Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a drive to take on new challenges and adapt to rapidly changing environments Ability to multitask and work independentlyWe recognize that people come with experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job. The salary range below is for Base Salary. Total compensation also includes benefits and variable compensation.
