Position Overview

Aecon-EBC General Partnership (AEGP) is a partnership consisting of Aecon and EBC to deliver the John Hart Dam Seismic Upgrade. BC Hydro awarded AEGP the $245 million dollar contract. The goal of the project is to provide safe and reliable power to the communicates of Vancouver Island.

 

The Contracts Manager will oversee and manage all procurement disciplines; subcontracts, purchasing, material control, expediting, and logistics. This is a site-based position assigned to a major infrastructure project in Campbell River, BC.

 

What You'll Do Here:

Collaboration with the various disciplines/teams to define, plan and schedule Procurement’s roles and responsibilities and tasks. Define KPI metrics to track and monitor Procurement progress and performance. Participate in key management meetings to present Procurement’s performance and progress. In collaboration with other functions (finance, legal), develop the procurement forms, templates, workflows, processes to be implemented. Assist in drafting up the required SOW and identifying key suppliers. Work with the Commercial and Legal teams to develop the Terms and Conditions. Participate in all contract negotiations. Direct communication with suppliers on all critical Procurement-related matters. Support accounting department to align on invoice accounting and payable days. Help develop, manage and ensure compliance of commercial policies.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

Bachelor’s Degree or an educational background in Business Administration, Law, Communications, or Paralegal. Minimum 8 years of experience in the construction industry in contract administration specializing in heavy civil construction projects Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Must be self-motivated, results oriented and possess high degree of initiative. Effective time management skills, work well under pressure. Solid PC skills with MS Office and database tools. Ability to work in a complex environment. Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.

 

The expected pay range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000.
