Contracts Manager
Description Are you an experienced contracts professional looking for an exciting remote opportunity with a mission-driven organization? Our client, a growing education-focused corporation based in Oakland, CA, is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to support their legal and business operations. This fully remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, coupled with the chance to make a meaningful impact on education. Key Responsibilities: + Drafting and Reviewing Contracts: Prepare and review a variety of agreements, including but not limited to Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs). + Redlining and Negotiating: Analyze contractual terms, propose revisions, and lead negotiations to ensure agreements align with company policies, business objectives, and legal considerations. + Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in contracts by adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and company guidelines. + Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders such as business units, project managers, and leadership to ensure contract terms meet business goals while providing guidance on contractual matters. + Contract Management Tools: Leverage contract management tools like Ironclad or similar platforms to streamline the contract lifecycle, maintain organized records, and ensure efficient workflows. + Process Improvement: Help enhance and standardize the company’s contract management processes for efficiency and scalability as the organization grows. Requirements Qualifications: + Experience: 3+ years of experience in contract drafting, redlining, and negotiating, preferably in a corporate or education-focused environment. + Technical Skills: Proficiency with contract management platforms, particularly Ironclad (strongly preferred). + Legal and Business Acumen: In-depth knowledge of contract laws and the ability to balance business considerations with legal risk. + Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to clarify contractual language and collaborate effectively across teams.
