Contracts & Negotiation Lead
Job Description SummaryThe Contracts & Negotiation Lead is responsible for using business and legal judgment to analyze, structure, draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with strategic and key customers for all product modalities within the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business. Applies sound judgment to identify, evaluate and negotiate contract terms and conditions and other related requirements/risks.

Roles and Responsibilities

Advise sales and business teams on agreement structure, risks, and alternativesCollaborate with business functions to draft and negotiate a wide variety of contractsConsult with legal team, compliance, and other business functions to ensure that templates are in compliance with legal requirements and best practicesIdentify, analyze, review, and negotiate redlined terms and conditions for contractual risk management and seek approvals from key internal stakeholders to mitigate the risk of a contract  Actively participate in the periodic review of 5.0 and 6.0 flags to ensure they meet the needs of PDxAssist with managing contract templates including the systematic review of templates and playbooks and incorporate best contracting practices and provisionsAssist with maintaining SOPs and Guide Sheets specific to Contract AuthoringAssist with educating and training individuals regarding contract processes, policies, and procedures, as neededParticipate in process improvement initiatives to support our lean strategy

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certification with 5+ years of related experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience with contract drafting and negotiation with customer/client interaction and managing successful relationshipsExperience in the HealthCare, Pharmaceutical, and/or Life Sciences industryDemonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environmentAbility to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from multiple departments at all levels of the organizationExcellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, language proficiency in EnglishAbility to work successfully towards strict deadlines, as well as independently on multiple, simultaneous assignmentsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Enable collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer/client satisfaction levels and responsiveness

Desired Characteristics

• JD or MBA Preferred
• Experience negotiating and drafting complex multi-year supply agreements
• Prior experience with public bid rules and doing business with governmental entities
• Strong financial acumen with an understanding of contractual accounting methodologies
• Experience using, developing, and/or implementing a Contract Lifecycle Management System
• Experience using SAP
• Experience using Salesforce.com
• Understanding of channel strategy and go-to-market options
