Job Title: Contracts/Purchasing Specialist
Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with the Procurement and Sourcing teams for the timely and cost-effective strategic sourcing of goods and services in accordance with corporate policies and procedures, using best practices. This position advises and guides business units regarding the application and integration of sourcing philosophies and techniques to meet the needs of identified internal customer requirements while ensuring that Supply Chain achieves the best deal for the company. This position will also help identify areas of opportunity within various business units to engage the sourcing process.

ResponsibilitiesPartner with internal and external customers in the execution of the sourcing process.Assist in project assessment, developing project/sourcing strategy, evaluating supplier capabilities, and negotiating contracts to achieve financial and quality objectives.Maintain strong working relationships and communications with customers and suppliers.Assist in developing, implementing, and managing contracts.Interface with all levels within Client and Supplier organizations.Work closely with Procurement Buyers and the Sourcing Team to identify sourcing opportunities.Manage the entire life cycle for commodities, including source selection, vendor oversight, and asset acquisition/disposition.Ensure suppliers meet or exceed quality, cost, and performance objectives.Perform other duties as assigned.Embody the company and safety culture while conducting oneself with professionalism, integrity, resourcefulness, and caring.Essential SkillsVendor ManagementSupply ChainSourcingContract negotiationContracts managementContracts administrationMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Purchase OrdersRFP/RFIBuying, sourcing, or related experience (1 year required; 3 years preferred)High school diploma or equivalentAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree preferredInstitute for Supply Management (ISM) certification a plusStrong written and oral communication skillsTeam-building and project management skills preferredExperience in vendor oversight, including performance management/continuous improvement preferredProven track record of sustaining strong customer/supplier relationships preferredDemonstrated analytical competence, such as experience with cost/benefit analysis preferredHighly self-motivated, with the ability to work and to drive change in a decentralized organizationAble to formulate and deliver convincing presentations to a range of organizational counterpartsWork Environment

This role is based in Seattle at the SeaTac HUB, near the airport. The work schedule is ideally three days in the office (Tuesday-Thursday) with two flexible days. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
