Purpose:\n
We are looking for a Contracts Specialist with some experience in federal government contracting and project management analysis. This role is essential for managing federal contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and utilizing project control methodologies to enhance contract performance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent analytical skills, and have the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. A basic understanding of contract management is needed for this position. Preferred candidate will have worked, or works, in a small business federal government contracting company.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nWith guidance, manage federal contracts, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and other applicable laws. Candidate will work with experienced staff in this area for mentorship.\nWith guidance, project management to monitor contract performance and profitability\nWith guidance, collaborate with project teams to define project baselines, performance metrics, and reporting requirements.\nServe as a contact for federal contracting inquiries, addressing issues related to contract execution and compliance.\nPrepare and maintain accurate contract documentation. \nAnalyze cost proposals and performance data to ensure that contracts are financially sound and that project goals are met.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and project management, to facilitate effective contract administration and oversight.\nStay informed about changes in federal contracting regulations and best practices, providing training and support to internal teams as necessary.\nAssist in the development and implementation of contracting policies and procedures that align with project control methodologies.\n\n\n\n\n\n

Number of Years Experience Required:\n\n3 years experience in federal government contracts administration.\n\n

Minimum Education and Certifications Required:\n\nBachelor's Degree\n\n

Technical Skills Required:\n\nMS Word, Excel, and related office software products.\n\n
\n
Computer Skills:\n\nMicrosoft Office Suite with proficiency in Word and Excel\n\n
\n
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\n\nMust be a US Citizen\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. \nExperience with FAA government contracting a plus but not required.\nExperience in types of contracts (T&M, CPAF, CPIF, CPFF, FFP) and cost\/price analysis preferred but not necessary. For those contract types for which the candidate is not familiar, guidance will be provided.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.\nWilling to learn about SCA, DBA, FAR\/DFAR requirements.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear and use a computer\/keyboard\/mouse for several hours on a daily basis. \nMay require occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds.\n\n
