As a Contracts Specialist, you will maintain detailed and organized files, audit files for each contract, including original contracts, all correspondence, changes, deviations, amendments, and clarifications. You will interpret standard contract language, provide contract summaries and revisions, identify requirements, and manage contract problems. Additionally, you will evaluate customer requirements and coordinate corrective actions, provide information on pricing, scheduling, billing, shipping, quality, and forecasting, and identify new business opportunities. You will also perform contract close-out activities and assist with the administration of Government Property.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain detailed and organized files; audit files for each contract: original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, etc.
+ Interpret standard contract language; provide contract summaries and contract briefs/revisions; identify requirements.
+ Provide management and analysis of contract problems; evaluate customer requirements (i.e., schedules) and coordinate corrective action as necessary, in liaison with other departments and the Government with timely and consistent communication.
+ Provide information concerning pricing, scheduling, billing, shipping, quality, forecasting; identify new business and required proposal preparation.
+ Perform contract close-out activities.
+ Assist with the administration of Government Property.
+ Communicate effectively and diplomatically with customers.
+ Work independently, prioritize and manage numerous projects, and demonstrate innovation and creativity.
Essential Skills
+ US Citizenship
+ Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field
+ Knowledge of DFARS/FARS regulations
+ Extremely organized and able to manage multiple tasks
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Federal Contracts Manager certification
+ Experience with DOD, legal aspects, redlining, negotiation, and contracts management
+ Experience with Microsoft Office
+ Dynamic personalities
Work Environment
This position is onsite in a manufacturing environment. The company offers a growing and supportive culture. Employees' children are eligible to receive paid college tuition based on work tenure.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
