Title:

Contracts Specialist (PMC)

Job Summary: The Contracts Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the contract activities of multiple PMCs involved in a project. This role ensures that all contract processes are aligned, compliant, and effectively managed to support project objectives.

The preference would be given to the experience in prequalification and evaluation process of Modularization Contractors and EPC Contractors including contract experience in other related service contracts in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Development and Management:

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with other PMCs and vendors.Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal standards and project requirements.Development and management of prequalification criteria, plan and evaluation of Modularization Contractors and EPC ContractorsExperience in finalizing Services contractsWork closely with project managers and Clients to ensure that contract terms align with project goals and timelines.Ensure that all contractual deliverables meet the required quality standards.

Coordination and Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters between the main PMC and other PMCs.Facilitate regular meetings and communication to ensure alignment and resolve any contract issues.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure all contract activities comply with project requirements, legal standards, and company policies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.

Contract Administration:

Oversee the administration of contracts to ensure compliance with commercial terms and conditions.Manage contract amendments, extensions, and renewals.

Change Order Management:

Review and process change orders, ensuring they are documented, justified, and approved according to company policies and project requirements.Negotiate change orders with contractors to reach mutually beneficial agreements.Handle claims and disputes related to commercial terms, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and fairly.Prepare documentation and evidence to support claims and counterclaims.

Impact Analysis:

Assess the impact of proposed changes on project scope, schedule, and budget.Develop strategies to mitigate any negative impacts and ensure changes are implemented smoothly.

Risk Management:

Identify potential contract risks and develop mitigation strategies.Monitor and report on contract performance and risk factors.

Budget and Cost Control:

Monitor contract budgets and ensure cost-effective contract management.Report on contract expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Dispute Resolution:

Address and resolve any contract disputes or issues.Implement solutions to improve contract processes and efficiency.

Team Support:

Provide guidance and support to the contracts team within the PMC and other PMCs.Ensure the contracts team meets productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineeringAdvanced degrees or specialized certifications in contract management or legal studies are preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of Total 15 years of work experienceMinimum 10 years in contract management, preferably within EPC or PMC environment.Experience in prequalification and evaluation of Modularization ContractorsProven track record of successfully negotiating and managing complex contracts.Proficiency in contract management software and tools.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in contract management software and tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)Project Management Professional (PMP)
