Control Engineer
**Summary of Responsibilities:** Bring your positive energy to ATC! We’re looking for a Control Engineer to add to our team to design control and automation schemes for ATC substations to ensure safe, reliable, and economic operation of the bulk electric system. **Essential Responsibilities:** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team in a position focused on the implementation and support of advanced electrical automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a background in integrating new technologies and capabilities into operational systems. Prior experience or an active interest with IEC 61850, the international standard for communication networks and systems in substations, is desirable. You’ll use your Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience to provide metering and control support for ongoing construction projects by designing SCADA remote terminal unit (RTU) installations for ATC substations. You’ll determine appropriate RTU input/output assignments for metering, relaying, control, and status points and create organized point lists for distribution. You’ll also create and update manuals and drawings when changes or modifications are made to the station control system, provide metering and control equipment field startup, diagnostic and solution support when issues arise with RTU equipment in the field, and analyze, test and document software and hardware platforms as new versions become available.
