Control Engineering Team Leader Job Details Job Location Garland - Garland, TX Description The Control Engineering Team Leader oversees the coordination, planning, and technical support for control systems in various operations by leading a team of subordinate control systems engineers and technicians to ensure that equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safety are maximized. Principal Duties: + Coordinating work activities, schedules, and development of subordinates + Monitoring system performance and serving as an escalation point for technical issues + Preparing budgets for daily operations of the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure based on location, equipment, labor and regulatory requirements + Assists with preparation of proposals and defines scope of work + Corrects subordinate engineering staff’s schematics + Manages and reports engineering activities for corporate control systems projects Schedule and Travel: Travel to Garland, TX, Casa Grande, AZ and Wooster, OH manufacturing facilities, and to suppliers throughout the U.S. will be required 25% of the time. Qualifications: + A bachelor’s degree [foreign degree equivalent accepted] in Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering is required + Also required is five (5) years of progressive experience in the dairy production industry: designing and producing specifications for plant control systems architecture, including piping and instrumentation diagrams, control panels, hardware and communication protocols; integrating original equipment manufacturer (OEM) equipment; pricing, commissioning, and installing plant controls and industrial automation systems – including configuring/designing: safety Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) code to control motors, servomotors, pumps, and valves; enhancing personnel interaction with PLC utilizing Human Machine Interface products; gathering Manufacturing Execution System data from workstations in real time; utilizing pin charts and object oriented/scripting code to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of liquid processes, Clean-in-Place kitchens and High Temperature Short Time pasteurization; and developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives on motion control and Computer-Aided Manufacturing profile analyses for aseptic material handling equipment.
