**Job Title: Control Panel Technician**
**Job Description**
Assembly of electrical enclosures used for the measurement and control of hydrocarbon and chemical products, and power and water applications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Mount electronic control hardware into the enclosure as defined by standards and practices.
+ Terminate input and output signals (I/O) from electronic control hardware to termination blocks.
+ Accurately measure wire lengths based on appropriate wire color per I/O channel.
+ Strip insulation off wires and land each end under screw terminals, ensuring they are tightly secured.
+ Follow directions and schematics to complete tasks.
+ Utilize hand tools such as wire strippers, hand wrenches, and hand saws.
+ Use small power tools including hand drills and sabre saws.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally (about 10% of the time).
+ Dexterity to stoop and reach into metal enclosures.
+ Hand and finger dexterity required to terminate small wires into screw terminals.
+ Ability to handle and determine multiple wires and wire color combinations.
+ General PC skills with knowledge of Word and Outlook.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of experience in building whole units independently is preferred but not necessary.

**Work Environment**
The candidate will work at a workstation where they will need to reach, bend, crouch, and occasionally lift 50 lbs. They will have the option to sit or stand in a non-climate controlled area. Standard hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with a preferred summer schedule of 6 AM to 3 PM due to the heat. There is potential for making the entire facility climate controlled, although the valve department is already climate controlled. Must be able to work from 6 AM to 5 PM when needed for overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, Texas.
