Job Title: Control Panel Technician
Job Description

Assemble electrical enclosures used for the measurement and control of hydrocarbon and chemical products, as well as power and water applications.

ResponsibilitiesMount electronic control hardware into enclosures as defined by standards and practices.Terminate input and output signals (I/O) from the electronic control hardware to termination blocks.Accurately measure wire lengths based on appropriate wire color per I/O channel.Strip insulation off wires and secure each end under screw terminals.Follow directions and schematics accurately.Handle and determine multiple wires and wire color combinations.Essential Skills3+ years experience in building whole units independently is preferred but not necessary.Experience with panel wiring, assembly, electrical schematics, and point-to-point wiring.Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, pliers, and cordless drills.Attention to detail and dexterity to terminate small wires into screw terminals.General PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to lift 50 lbs. occasionally (approximately 10% of the time).Ability to stoop, reach into metal enclosures, and handle small power tools such as hand drills and sabre saws.Capability to follow directions and read schematics.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The candidate will work at a workstation where reaching, bending, crouching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs are required. The option to sit or stand is available. The work area is non-climate controlled, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. During the summer, there is an option to work from 6 AM to 3 PM due to heat. The facility is working towards becoming fully climate-controlled, with the valve department already climate-controlled. Must be able to work 6 AM to 5 PM when overtime is needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00
