Job Title: Control Systems Engineer Job Description The Control Systems Engineer position will develop new electro-mechanical motion control devices with sub-micron precision. This role will require the ability to architect and provide “turn-key” solutions to our customers. This position will provide guidance and technical support to customers, gather requirements, assess feasibility, and provide holistic system design input to the design team. Pre-sale support will be an essential part of this job, which will require this position to lead technical discussions in the conception phase of development. This position will be responsible for defining a motion system that meets customer expectations and design requirements. Responsibilities + Develop new electro-mechanical motion control devices with sub-micron precision. + Architect and provide “turn-key” solutions to customers. + Provide guidance and technical support to customers. + Gather requirements, assess feasibility, and provide holistic system design input to the design team. + Lead technical discussions during the conception phase of development. + Define a motion system that meets customer expectations and design requirements. + Determine motors, drives, and controllers that will meet specifications. + Specify and design associated cables and circuitry to support system development. + Tune, optimize, and validate systems to meet movement profiles on linear and rotary systems across a range of sizes and performance specifications.
