The Control Technician - Industrial Maintenance position will have the following responsibilities:

Design, assembly, installation, adjustment, testing, cleaning, calibration, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of plant instrumentation, electrical and electronic systems such as controllers, transmitters, indicators, plant and laboratory analyzers, and weighing systemsPerform ongoing maintenance of aseptic/clean room and bulk chemical areasFollow complex instructions for completion of job tasksComplete written documentation of work performedFlexible schedule required to support various maintenance activitiesFollow prescribed safety and environmental rules and regulations and maintain high quality standards of workCompliance with current good manufacturing procedures(cGMP), safety and environmental requirements/regulations/guidelinesCandidate will be required to qualify in the Mechanic Craft by on-the-job performance, practical skills assessment and testing

Shift

12 hour shift rotation that involves working every other weekendFlexible schedule is required to support various maintenance activities at times
Work Experience

Education Minimum Requirements:

Must have completed a 4-year State Apprenticeship Journeyman program in the field of Instrumentation, Electrical, or ElectronicsOr received an equivalent level degree, in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics

Required Work Experience and Skills:

Must have four (4) years of industrial experience on the job and/or military experience in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics, within the past five (5) yearsPractical knowledge on the operation/use of general hand and power tools, instruments and testing apparatus common to the electrical, electronic and instrumentation fieldsAbility to read P&ID's, electrical drawings, blueprints, PLC ladder logic, etcMust have knowledge installing, repairing and maintaining instrumentation, automation, electronic, single phase and all aspects of 3-phase electrical equipment throughout a manufacturing environmentEffective calibration/troubleshooting skillsAbility to communicate both in writing and verbally and work in a highly effective team environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and advance several tasks in parallelDemonstrated mechanical aptitude

Preferred Experience and Skills:

A current level one, two or three CCST designation from ISAExperience in aseptic or GMP/regulated and bulk chemical manufacturing environmentAbility to work with and troubleshoot computer control equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS)Experience in troubleshooting and programming VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)Experience in electrical distributions systems with voltages greater than 600VAC
