Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Control Tower Engineer to join our fast-paced supply chain team. In this role, you will act as a liaison between suppliers and facilities, managing part movement, supply, and demand to ensure smooth operations. You will work closely with part numbers and logistics to schedule and move materials from suppliers to facilities, coordinating with various stakeholders to meet facility requirements.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify impacted facilities and associated material planners.Assist Ops Team with onboarding and training facility participants.Assist Policy Buyer with onboarding and training supplier participants.Lead LAUNCH meetings to establish execution ground rules.Schedule and facilitate daily collaboration calls to prevent line downs.Monitor and report progress on supplier recovery efforts.Determine and propose supplier readiness to exit the ECT process.Complete all exit tasks for suppliers.Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities.Provide facilitation for project teams, leading control meetings and planning sessions for medium to large projects.Maintain and improve processes for generating customer deliverables.Maintain program-level issues/action logs, risk registers, scope change requests/logs, program work plans, and program cost tracking.Maintain accurate project schedules and create report packages to communicate project status to team members and stakeholders.Make recommendations to the project team to resolve schedule and project cost issues.Essential SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Strong meeting facilitation skills and ability to influence others without having direct authority.Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera or MS Project.Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Web Publishing tools.Supply chain experience in demand management, material movement, and scheduling.Customer service, communication, and conflict management skills.Excel experience.Minimum 8 years of relevant experience or a degree plus 3 years of experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssertiveness and willingness to ask questions and communicate effectively.Experience in supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing.PMP certification preferred.Exposure to engineering, product development, purchasing, or IT is desired.Work Environment
This role operates in a high-pressure environment requiring business professional acumen. The Control Tower Engineer must manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain calm under pressure. The position involves working with 5000 supplier codes, some of which may be heavily constrained. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and effectively communicate with suppliers and internal teams. The dress code is business professional.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $51.00
