Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid; 3 days per week in office)
Salary:
$200,000 - $250,000 base + Bonus + Phantom Carry
About the Company:
A leading venture capital firm with billions in assets under management that has been investing in transformative companies.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee quarterly closes, partner allocations, and the preparation of financial statements.
+ Lead the annual audit process, including managing audit requests and coordinating with external auditors.
+ Manage fund cash needs, drive capital activities such as capital calls and distributions, and oversee GP investment budgets.
+ Review and track performance calculations like IRR, DPI, and TVPI, benchmarking against industry standards.
+ Continuously improve accounting processes through the integration of new tools and technology.
+ Collaborate with the investment team and the Director of Portfolio Analytics on portfolio company valuations.
+ Serve as a liaison with fund investors for financial information requests.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to a growing team, including direct management of a Senior Fund Accountant.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master’s Degree is a plus.
+ 10+ years of experience in public or private accounting or fund administrative services, with a focus on investment partnerships.
+ Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office; experience with Efront/Einvest and Investment Café is a bonus.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
+ Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and team mentorship skills.
+ High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
+ Holds personal and team integrity, ethics, and responsibility in high regard.
