Responsibilities

Financial Statement preparation and ownerKey owner of GL financial system (Costpoint today and transitioning to Unanet)Key partner to Treasury functionLead a team of approximately 8-10 employees including responsibility for Payroll, AP, AR, Billing, Banking & Treasury, GL, & Technical AccountingProvides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activitiesKey partnership with finance organization for teaming on consolidation of actuals and forecastAdvises management on desirable operational adjustmentsAudit, Tax and Government compliance leadPrepares reports required by regulatory agenciesReview/update internal controls, and maintain oversight over G/L dataDevelop and implement policies/procedures for master data maintenance (i.e. G/L account, profit center, cost center)Automate master data maintenance requests and approval workflowsSeek out and continue to look for ways that G/L and closing processes can be automated or improved to create and improve efficiency across the accounting/finance organizationDevelop and implement policies and procedures for balance sheet account reconciliations and ongoing monitoring and governanceDrive results to meet individual, team, and department objectivesPerforms other accounting related duties as assigned by management.Collaborates with others on special projects.Identifies potential areas for improvement and provides solutions.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience15+ years of experienceExperience in a large government contracting companyCostpoint and/or Unanet experienceLeadership of a team of 5 or moreExperience working in a PE environmentCPAStrong analytical skills, research skills, and business acumenStrong attention to detailSelf-starter with proven ability to spearhead projects with minimal supervisionComfort working through ambiguity and in a rapidly changing environmentStrong communication skills
