Now Hiring for A Controller Direct Placement - Full Time Rockford, IL Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Assist in preparing relevant and timely financial reports • Review weekly payrolls for final approval • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual payroll tax filings and perform quarterly wage reconciliations • Prepare and process sales tax returns • Lead and manage accounts receivable processes and listing • Assist in preparation of accounts payable check run, as needed • Prepare, gather and organize workpapers for union, insurance and year-end audits • Maintain confidential information • Operate office equipment inclusive of phones, fax machine, computer, copier, and postage machine • Other duties, as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities - Yes To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Analytical – Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures. Education and/or Experience: • College business degree (BS/BA) in Accounting/Finance or related field • 5 + years of experience Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of customers. Strong analytical skills are a must.
