Seeking a Finance Executive to spearhead the establishment, implementation, and coordination of accounting systems. The role involves ensuring the adherence to operational procedures for accounting activities, overseeing compliance with regulatory policies, and preparing budgets and financial reports. Additionally, this position entails the supervision of accounting personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the accounting department to deliver consistent and superior customer service to internal clients. Provide exemplary leadership, training, and coaching to exceed performance goals for accounting personnel. Ensure compliance with risk management standards and oversee all accounting functions, including cost-control activities. Manage and implement audit activities, prepare audit schedules, and handle financial reporting, analysis, cash management, and forecasting. Document investment accounting activities, analyze portfolio changes, and oversee board reporting. Supervise the preparation and review of regulatory reports such as the call report. Assure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and coordinate daily balancing and reconciliation of the general ledger, payroll preparation, and accounts payable functions. Foster internal communication with various Bank departments to ensure quality and consistency in accounting service offerings. Assist in establishing and monitoring internal controls across departments, implementing cost monitoring and control activities. Represent and promote a positive image of the organization through community involvement. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage, direct, and coordinate all accounting activities and personnel, setting performance expectations. Fulfill managerial responsibilities in line with Bank policies and relevant federal and state laws. Train employees, appraise performance, coach for exceeding expectations, and resolve problems.

Qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Five years of experience in a financial institution or related environment as a staff accountant. Excellent knowledge of financial institution accounting, tax, auditing, operations, and policy standards. Demonstrated superior customer service, strong analytical and communication skills. Proven leadership and managerial success in coaching, motivating, and developing employees. Excellent organizational and time management/prioritization skills.
