Kforce has a client that is seeking a Controller in Prince George, VA. Responsibilities: * Controller will guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, documenting, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures * Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives * Oversee the accounting operations of inner company between subsidiary and parent transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures * Responsible for the accounting month-end/year-end close process * Ensure the adequate maintenance of proper policies and procedures in the areas of finance, accounting, and tax to maintain suitable internal controls that lead to complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting * Manage audits of the business by working closely with external and internal auditing groups at all stages to guarantee accuracy in reporting * As a Controller, you will maintain the ERP system to meet needs throughout the organization * Coordinate financial communication to the global accounting group located in London * Manage outsourced functions * Ensure that accounts payable are paid promptly and accounts receivable are collected promptly
