ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Leads the compilation of and analyzes financial information for all domestic and international entities, so as to prepare monthly closing entries to general ledger accounts and documenting business transactions. Identify trends, control deficiencies, or improvement opportunities and formulate action plans as appropriate.
Compiles, analyzes, and interprets financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital expenditures, and prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, statements of cash flow, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position. Formulate action plans from interpreted data where required.
Responsible for the monthly consolidation of the NOW Health Group income statements, balance sheet, and cash flow reports. Ensure accurate reporting and group elimination entries and presentation of information complies with GAAP.
Directs the analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including balancing to sub-ledgers where indicated (A/P, A/R, and Inventory). Directs monthly review of the trial balance.
Manages treasury functions by maintaining appropriate cash balances in operating bank accounts. Recommends and initiates cash transfers necessary to fund daily operations. This role is also responsible for the management of the corporate credit card program as well as the Accounts Payable function.
Responsible for cash management reporting to the CFO. This includes development and maintenance of a cash flow forecasting model. Duties also include analysis of bank fees and recommendations to minimize those fees.
Organizes and directs Bank Reconciliations.
Manage the quarterly dividend and tax payments made to, or on the behalf of, shareholders. Ensures that calculations are done appropriately based on up-to-date shareholder records.
Compiles composite reports from individual reports of subordinates required by management or government agencies.
Responsible for maintaining and updating the Policy and Procedure Manual for the Accounting team.
Responsible for management of financial audit and accuracy of the final Audited Financial Reports
Produces ad hoc financial analysis, scorecards, financial statements, forecasts and metrics as required to support business units, corporate requirements, Board of Director presentations, and reports to the senior leadership team.
May assist with data requirements related to annual insurance renewals.
Manage and support of NHG’s corporate tax team. This will include oversight of the company’s federal and state income tax compliance, audit requirements, research and planning, property, sales and use tax compliance, and state and local registrations/reports.
Review the company’s business activities on a regular basis to ensure the company stays in compliance with all federal, state, and local income and sales tax compliance regulations.
Provide oversight and support for the maintenance of the company’s shareholder records including bookkeeping of distributions, share transactions, annual preparation of K-1s, review of quarterly tax and dividend distributions, etc.
Other projects and ad-hoc requests as required.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly manages four to five employees that support the accounting and tax functions for all divisions within NOW Health Group. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree is required and a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in accounting, controller related duties, and tax. At least 5 years of prior supervisory or management level experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Proven leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to influence direct reports, peers, and senior executives with conviction and empathy. Prior experience working with multiple divisions is also desirable.
Strong analytical skills, critical strategic thinking, problem solving, and reasoning abilities are required.
A solid background in technology including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, business intelligence software, ERP, etc. is highly desirable.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, working with an ERP system, prior cost accounting experience, and a background working in a multi-divisional company are all strongly preferred.
