Kforce's client, an iconic Long Island (NY) based manufacturer, seeks a Controller. In this role, the Controller will plan and direct all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and reconciliations. Responsibilities: * Direct the Accounts Receivable function, including establishing credit terms and monitoring collections as well as international credit * Manage Accounts Payable, including authorization of vendors and payments * Review and monitor sales and inventory; Work with related departments to analyze and report inventory, cost of sales and gross margin * Forecast cash flow * Oversee banking relationships and cash requirements; Manage company financing, collateral and bank covenants * Manage financial budgets, rolling forecasts, projections and operating statement as well as assist departments with coordination of monthly and annual budgets * Develop business metrics, KPI's and internal reporting for Senior Management * Manage gross margin analysis and inventory costing applications * Oversee international financial operations * Responsible for audits and reviews with outside accountants, bank field examiners and internal staff * Manage and develop financial and tax strategies to comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including corporate, income and sales related tax * Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures * Supervise client and vendor contract acquisitions and negotiations * Report risk issues to company; Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations * Evaluate financial and related systems for proper controls and accurate reporting, including recommendations for improvements
