Job Summary: The Controller will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the company, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong skillset in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to support the company’s financial goals. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. + Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. + Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. + Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations. + Coordinate and manage the annual audit process. + Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. + Provide financial insights and recommendations to management. + Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. + Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and strategic initiatives. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Experience in the HVAC or construction industry is a plus.
