Controller
Description We are looking for a Controller to join our team in Redwood City, California. The Controller will oversee all financial and accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue recognition. This role also involves handling internal controls, compliance, cash flow management, strategic planning, and team leadership. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation of financial statements while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. • Manage all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and store-level leadership. • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts. • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. • Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing options as required. • Provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions. • Collaborate with senior management on business development and growth initiatives. • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team. • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Requirements • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position • Proficient in handling Accounting Functions • Skilled in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Has experience in conducting Auditing processes • Well-versed in leading Budget Processes • Ability to Analyze Financial Statements effectively • Capable of preparing accurate Financial Statements • Holds a relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work • Ability to work independently and in a team • Demonstrates high levels of integrity and professional ethics.
