Controller

As a Controller, your duties would include but are not limited to:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department including but not limited to AR, AP, JV, CR, CD, managerial reporting, regulatory reporting, and budget preparation.Train accounting staff and identifies training needs.Immediate supervisor to the Staff Accountant and Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities:

Review accounting entry sessions prepared by the Staff Accountant prior to final postingPreparation of monthly reports required by the Finance Committee and the Board of DirectorsMaintain systems used in KELC, Sports & Rec, and Health and Wellness billing ensuring adequate internal controls statementsLead in the annual operating budget processWork with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual auditProduce various budgets and reports as required by other departments’ particularly DevelopmentReconcile the Development Report to the accounting softwareMaintain accounting procedure manual.Maintain an adequate system of internal controls that safeguards assets, ensures financial statement reliability, ensures that transactions are recorded properly and in a timely manner, promotes operational efficiency, and encourages compliance with management's directives.Be an integral part of teams formed to evaluate current procedures for possible efficiencies and improved internal controls

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Additional hours may be required during busy seasons)

Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Accounting. CPA is a plus.3-5 years of accounting experience in a nonprofit settingStrong written and oral skills Apply
