Specialty Manufacturer near Missoula is looking for a dynamic and experienced Controller to join their elite team.  Controller will help scale the finance and accounting department and will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Inventory Cost Management: Oversee and reconcile inventory transactions. A/R, A/P and Payroll: Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency within the finance department. Ad-hoc Projects: Support management with special projects and initiatives as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. Proficiency in QBO and FishBowl Inventory preferred. Experience working through NetSuite or ERP implementation a huge plus! Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends. Experience in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Budgeting and forecasting experience is a plus. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
