Overview ... JBT Corporation's Automated Systems business is a leading global supplier of automated, self-guided vehicle systems to a variety of industries, including automotive, food & beverage, warehousing, hospital and consumer product manufacturing industries. We have an opportunity for a newly created Controller position to oversee all financial information for JBT's Automated Systems business. The Controller will have end to end ownership of Automated Systems Financial Reporting and forecasting, acting as the steward for the organization's financial activities. You will report directly to the VP Finance of the Automated Systems Business. The ideal candidate will have a background in FP&A, project accounting, cost accounting, month end close and reporting, and forecasting. This is a leadership position directly managing a highly capable team. 3 Staff Accountants. Drive improvements and lead change for success. The Opportunity ... Responsibilities Oversee the critical day-to-day responsibilities of the finance team including but not limited to US and Europe. Heavy engagement in monthly close cycle through use of shared service Manage phases of monthly closings including consolidation of multiple sites, variance analysis, translation of financial statements and reporting financial information to corporate and group management. Consolidation, preparation, and analysis of income statements and balance sheets. Leadership of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting. Partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and segment managers to improve processes, increase efficiency and identify profit improvement opportunities. Support and leadership of growth and cost initiatives. Manage 3 staff accountants Required Skills and Knowledge Demonstrated leadership and process management abilities Experience in SOX Controls in public company / CPA Firm Experience in ASC Rev Rec and Costing principles Controllership function responsibilities including audit, closing, forecasting, use of ERP systems, management reporting, and mandatory/statutory reporting. Use Excel, ERP Systems, and reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau, OneStream) Prior experience as a Controller Prior manufacturing experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting, Finance or related field of study from a four-year college or university required; MBA or CPA At least 5 years of finance and accounting experience Willingness to travel up to 20% domestic and international.
