Envirovac
EnviroVac is looking for a Controller to join our team in our Savannah office. The Controller plans, organizes, directs, and controls the accounting function of EnviroVac. They report operational results and maintain the financial record system. The controller will coordinate monthly financial statements, maintain the general ledger, participate in the annual budgeting process, and work with senior management to bring about positive change in both the accounting team and in the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and administer an effective plan for the control of operations.Prepare monthly financial statements.Manage all accounting functions with significant focus on cash management.Work with senior management during the annual budgeting process and create reports showing actual performance compared to budget.Analyze area and company profitability and, where appropriate, recommend timely corrective actions.Prepare and maintain general ledger, including making journal entered and reconciling accounts.Prepare reports to summarize and forecast the company’s financial position.Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against potential liabilities, including property losses.Provide primary support for annual financial audits.Direct determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.Ensure proper segregation of duties.Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.Fulfill supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.Collect data, track, and calculate employee sales commissions for payment.Complete projects as directed by CFO and other management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting is required.Prior Experience: Minimum of 8 years general accounting experience and 2 years of financial analysis and management.CPA PreferredAudit experience preferred.
