Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee all financial and accounting operations for a growing professional organization. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, internal controls, and compliance. They will provide leadership in managing the accounting department and work closely with senior leadership to enhance the financial integrity of the organization. Responsibilities: * Lead and oversee all aspects of the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting * Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, implementing and monitoring internal controls * Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements * Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial reports and present financial results to senior management * Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity * Manage cash flow and forecasting, ensuring proper financial planning to meet organizational needs * Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting * Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement * Partner with senior leadership to support decision-making through financial analysis and recommendations
