Description
We are in search of a Controller. This role involves overseeing the operations of the accounting department and supervising accounting personnel.
Candidate must come out of the manufacturing industry and a CPA is highly preferred

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department to achieve the department's goals and objectives.
• Supervise accounting personnel and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Administer the 401(k) plan and handle insurance policy annual renewals, ensuring appropriate coverages/cost containment.
• Manage debt and bank financing for future expansion borrowings, adhering to applicable bank reporting requirements.
• Manage cash flow and accounts payable for weekly check runs to determine payouts.
• Provide financial guidance and data to other departments on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations with company attorney and union representatives.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts, calculating variances from the budget and reporting significant issues.
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Participate in any special projects and compile any special reports.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, associates in a courteous and professional manner.
• Attend management and other meetings as required.
Requirements • Must have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in executing Month End Close processes
• Familiarity with establishing and maintaining Policies And Procedures
• Experience with Financial Reporting is required
• Proven skills in Cash Flow Management
• Must have experience in conducting Check Runs
• Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Experience in preparing Annual Budgets
• Proficiency in creating Annual Forecasts
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Must have a proactive approach and the ability to work independently
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
• Advanced skills in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
