Description
A rapidly expanding commercial real estate company, integrating the disciplines of leasing, management, development, and investment in the operation of a variety of property types, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to join their team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, and ensuring reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Overseeing and managing the accounting operations of the company, including control systems, transaction-processing operations, policies, and procedures.
+ Coordinating and managing the budgeting processes, including the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast company business activities and financial position.
+ Ensuring the implementation and adherence to accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Currently on QuickBooks and migrating to Yardi.
+ Assuring financial plans are consistent with organizational goals.
+ Preparation of payroll, full cycle accounting, cash flow analysis, financial statement analysis, management of third party processors for property management accounting and team oversight.
+ Preparing and submitting monthly financial statements and other necessary reports.
+ Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
+ Collaborating with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements are met.
+ Utilizing Yardi Voyager accounting system to manage financial operations efficiently.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.
+ A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
+ Solid knowledge of GAAP and general ledger functions.
+ Proficient in Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Office suite.
+ Exceptional communication, problem-solving, analytic skills and attention to detail.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
