Description My client is looking for a Controller to join their team. This organization is based in the government contracting industry. The ideal Controller for this position will be responsible for running the day-to-day accounting operations. The responsibilities for the Controller will include supervising a small team, performing the monthly close process, reconciling various accounts, processing payroll, managing the annual budget, invoicing, preparation of the financial statements and complying with DCAA standards. Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include: · Assist with monthly close process. · Preparation of financial statements. · Reconcile various balance sheet accounts. · Assist with DCAA incurred cost submissions. · Apply knowledge of FAR/CAS. · Other ad hoc duties. Requirements The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration: · 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. · Experience with Deltek Costpoint, required. · Experience with DCAA incurred cost. · Strong communication skills.
