Controller
Description Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thought-partner responsible for developing and implementing the organization's financial strategy. They will possess a strong background in all aspects of financial management, compliance, and reporting. The Controller will report directly to the CFO and work collaboratively with other leaders in the organization. Responsibilities: Oversees all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets, and actual expenditures. Coordinating and leading the annual audit process: liaising with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors. Implementing operational best practices. Oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting. Collaboratively analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field. CPA and/or MBA preferred. 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, ideally in a non-profit or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting, including fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent time management skills. Proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the CEO, the responsibility for finance. Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experienced in accounting software.
