We are in search of a Controller to join our team located in Farmington, Connecticut. Working within the manufacturing industry, the role requires a high level of proficiency in various accounting software systems, auditing, and budget processes. This position is crucial in overseeing our accounting functions and ensuring the smooth running of our ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all accounting functions within the organization
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate financial records
• Conduct regular auditing to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial data
• Develop and manage budget processes to maintain financial health of the company
• Utilize SAP ERP to manage resources and streamline operations
• Leverage knowledge of the manufacturing industry to improve financial operations
• Utilize SAP BPC to facilitate business planning and consolidation
• Supervise and manage the Accounting Manager, Inventory & FA Analyst, Accounts Payable Specialist, and Accounts Receivable Specialist
• Oversee operations across 3 plants located in Bristol, Florida, and California
• Travel occasionally as required by the role.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions and Auditing
• Experience in managing Budget Processes
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Prior experience in the Manufacturing Industry is preferred
• Proficiency in SAP BPC and SAP ERP systems
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field is required
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• High ethical standards and professionalism, as it pertains to handling confidential and sensitive information.
