This role is integral to our financial operations, providing leadership in the development of financial objectives and managing processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting. This role will play an instrumental part in our company's financial future, representing the company on various cross-functional project teams and communicating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive job cost system. • Oversee the financial forecasting, budgeting, and consolidation processes. • Coordinate the preparation of the company's financial statements and management discussions. • Establish and maintain lines of communication with the investor community. • Serve as the finance leader, focusing on enhancing business results. • Conduct monthly analysis of Pro Forma results to track project results and make recommendations to ensure projects meet expectations. • Develop long-range plans in partnership with the President of Real Estate to establish long-term goals for the business and identify initiatives to achieve them. • Communicate with owners, development team, equity partners, lenders, and third parties as appropriate. • Package applications for equity and debt project transactions and present them to appropriate stakeholders. • Facilitate all insurance and bonding needs. • Demonstrate a keen understanding of project-based accounting for real estate land and vertical development projects. • Coordinate and balance cash inflows and outflows with the parent company and conduct monthly variance report analysis and review. Requirements • Must possess at least 10 years of experience in a Controller or similar role • Extensive experience in the construction industry is required • Proven expertise in financial management and accounting operations • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and database management • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Must hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • detail oriented certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred • Solid analytical and decision-making skills • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion • Familiarity with financial regulations and standards • Ability to develop financial strategies and ensure their effective implementation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
